I just bought this camera as an alternative to an larger SLR and it takes great pictures out of the box.The only thing that I noticed in the video mode is that it is recording, the zoom lens seem a bit much. To price: Amazon has general great prices and service.Place on December 20 with a $ 50 instant rebate, this camera is available for $ 249.00 at Costco, including a leather case and an SD card 2 meg. Color however is only available in black.
